Military members living in the United States or Puerto Rico have a 2025 tax filing deadline of April 15. For those on active duty outside the United States or Puerto Rico, the IRS generally allows a two-month filing extension (to June 15) without requesting one. Even with the extension, interest will apply to any 2025 tax payments received after April 15. This means that after April 15, unpaid 2025 tax balances will begin accruing interest. We’d be pleased to help you complete and file your tax return. Or, eligible members of the military community can take advantage of MilTax, a free tax resource offered through Military OneSource (https://bit.ly/4kUxIVy).
