Filing Season is Open

Tax filing season started on Jan. 26, and for many taxpayers, that means a federal tax refund. If you file electronically, the IRS usually processes refunds within 21 days. Mailed returns can take six weeks or more. If your return needs corrections or extra review, it may take longer. To check your refund status, use the IRS’s Where’s My Refund? tool or the IRS2Go app. For e-filed returns, you can usually see your refund status within 24 hours. Paper checks are being phased out, so the IRS recommends providing your bank information on your 2025 tax return for direct deposit. We’re here to help if you have questions.
