Is an Offer in Compromise right for you?

The April 15 due date to file tax returns has passed, but many are still wrestling with unpaid federal tax debt. These individuals may be eligible to seek an offer in compromise (OIC) from the IRS. This IRS program allows qualifying taxpayers to settle a debt for less than is owed, or to pay over an extended period, if the IRS agrees. There’s a fee to apply, and most OICs are rejected. The IRS warns the public to avoid OIC “mills.” These are run by unscrupulous companies that may charge steep fees and falsely claim they can make tax debt disappear. The IRS urges the public to proceed with caution when it comes to OICs. Contact us or get more information from the IRS: https://bit.ly/4jCJv9g
