The IRS has updated the rules to qualify for a clean vehicle (CV) tax credit. Before you buy, be sure the vehicle was made by a qualified manufacturer and meets other conditions. Manufacturers must have an approved agreement with the IRS whereby they supply valid vehicle ID numbers of qualifying vehicles, which can be matched to the purchaser’s tax return. To prove the vehicle qualifies for the CV credit, the seller must provide the buyer with a seller’s report verifying that the specific vehicle is eligible. The credit is nonrefundable, meaning that it can’t be used to increase your tax refund, only to reduce any tax you owe. Contact us with questions, or check here: https://bit.ly/44u9dVy
