It’s been a busy year for natural disasters, and the IRS has once again announced regional tax relief. This time, it’s for taxpayers in Alaska affected by storms and flooding that began on Sept. 15, 2022. Individuals and businesses in the affected areas have until Feb. 15, 2023, to submit payments for quarterly estimated taxes and quarterly payroll and excise taxes. Feb. 15 also applies to the returns (but not to payments) of corporations, nonprofits and partnerships with extended filing dates in 2022 and to certain relief workers. Victims with uninsured or unreimbursed disaster-related losses can claim them either on their 2022 or 2021 returns. Details here: https://bit.ly/3SDkc9H
